Kia'ora! Born in New Zealand to a Māori mother and an Italian father, Maraea Corona grew up with a warrior's spirit in her blood — family, respect, resilience, and a heart for service. She carried those principles into the U.S. Army, enlisting as a Soldier and later commissioning as a Signal Officer to advocate more effectively for the Soldiers under her charge. Over 23 years — three combat deployments, two operational deployments, and 13 PCS moves — she knows firsthand what it means to constantly move and rebuild. That same resilience sharpened the problem-solving and strategic skills that now define how she serves her clients.
After retiring, Maraea stumbled into the mortgage industry helping a friend grow his mortgage business — and discovered she had a real talent for it. Based in Harker Heights, TX, next to one of the Army's largest installations, she's built her business around the community she knows best: Veterans and Active Duty members navigating VA loans and imperfect credit, first-time homebuyers, and real estate investors, including one she personally helped save from losing her property.
To Maraea, education is everything. She's candid that if she'd applied what she knows now about real estate during those 23 years of PCS moves, she could have built a serious property portfolio of her own — and she's committed to teaching her clients what she wishes someone had taught her.
