About

Erin started in the mortgage industry back in 2004 as a junior loan officer for Wells Fargo. Quickly rising through the ranks, she joined Countrywide and stayed on board when they were bought by Charter Funding and then First Magnus, in a tumultuous time for the industry.

Erin finally found the stability she was looking for with Land Home, where she became a Senior Loan Consultant and invaluable part of their mortgage team for more than six years.

While she found success, these big “corporate” loan companies were never a perfect match for her philosophy when it came to forming relationships and going above and beyond for her clients.

In fact, Erin’s work ethic and commitment to five-star service were ingrained through her childhood in Union City, CA, where her father was a truck driver and her mom managed retail displays for a cheese company. Describing her family as “solid middle class,” Erin enrolled in Business Marketing and Management courses and got a temp job at Stanley Automatic Door Division.

She learned how to compete and thrive in a company where she was the only female by being a straight-shooter and always focusing on delivering results.

“My goal is to take care of my clients the best way I can,” Erin says about how those experiences translate to her mortgage career. “Part of that is getting the best rate, but the bigger part is offering them the best service and a team that can deliver in a timely and effective manner.”

Erin never forgets the true service she offers: not just mortgage loans, but helping families finance their dream homes, as well as teaching them how their property can work to create wealth.

For that reason, she found her perfect mortgage match in Empire Home Loans, which mirrors her values.

“I never forget that homeownership is a BIG DEAL. When I make a promise that I’m going to get you in your dream home, you can rest assured it will happen.”

So, it’s no surprise that Erin’s favorite part of every loan transaction is celebrating with her clients when the loan closes! “I get 30 days or so to be a big part of their life and get to know them, and I take full advantage of that and always want to shine!”

Her commitment to excellence did not go unnoticed, as she’s won a coveted gold medal for Best of Brentwood the past eight years in a row. That accolade comes thanks to the votes of her clients and the public, so it’s truly a special honor.

Why else is Empire Home Loans the perfect fit for her temperament, experience, and skills?

“My clients know that I genuinely care about them and conduct my business with integrity,” says Erin. “I only write solid loans and will walk away from loan products that generate revenue for me but aren’t in my clients’ best interest.”

Work with Erin for even a day, and you’ll quickly realize that she listens to her client’s goals. But she’s also not afraid to make recommendations and help solve their problems. She always answers phone calls and emails because communication is paramount throughout the loan process. And, most importantly, Erin always delivers when she promises something!

What else should you know about Erin Summit, loan officer extraordinaire with Empire Home Loans?

She has two children, Haley and Dawson, and two pets, a domestic pig name Chloe PigDashian (seriously!) and Hogan the Chihuahua. Oh, and we can’t forget her husband, Ian, who is pretty terrific, too!

Erin has been called “The Amazing Illustrated Woman” because she has at least ten tattoos, each one with a special meaning.

And when not working, she serves her community and the world with the Brentwood Rotary Club.

We welcome you to reach out and say hi to Erin Summit (and you might even get to meet Chloe PigDashian!).
